Blooms

I have made two special blooms to mark Art in the Park 2025. I thought of expanding (literally) the floral shapes. I have been making florals for such a long time, but it never occurred to me to enlarge the petals and giving them more focus. I have to say, the feedback I received from visitors was very positive – and having generated sales was a bonus! So, there will be iterations of these blooms in the next chapter. I hope to use more white paper, as it appears to create a more graphic “feel” to the quilling. I will never fall out of love with colour, but this new minimal expression shows a lot of promise.
